He had to depart from the way he usually does it
because some items he would include i .e. travel , had to be worked
into the hourly fees. He is interested in doing the work and is
prepared to work with the numbers to the satisfaction of both
• parties .
Mr. Jones asked him if he fully understood the magnitude of the
task? Dr. Collabro said it is his understanding the town needs a
set of educational specs - an educational program and set of
spaces, the number and kind , to give to an Architect so they can
design the school .
Dr. DeMoura stated they have a tentative educational program,
which needs to be clarified and translated into space needs .
Dr . Collabro discussed his rates. His usual hourly rate is $65
per hour , plus travel expenses . The range he gave to the
Committee of $85-$70 was against a series of unknowns . He
suggested putting a cap on the number of hours or he can work on
reducing the fixed amounts.
Bob Whritenour joined the meeting at 4 : 35 p.m.
Mr. Dinizio asked Dr. Collabro if he ever built a high school and
how much time did he devote to it?
