Mr. Dinizio asked Mr. Whritenour how he feels about Dr.
• Collabro' s hourly fees , or would he prefer a lump sum?
Mr. Whritenour explained he had talked with Dr. DeMoura about
this. He anticipated a lump sum for the body of work. He
expected the hourly rate only for work above and beyond the basic
scope of work. We can negotiate how to handle that.
Mr. Griffin suggested coming up with a not to exceed number.
Mr. Jones wants to be sure we are adequately funded to do this
job. He would like to be flexible for the number of hours used ,
instead of a fixed amount.
The Committee can always vote to amend the contract, to add
additional hours, if necessary.
Mr. Griffin estimated , for #4 Work with Architect, he would be
needed for 6 months + 2 weeks x 2 meetings per week x 2 hours per
meeting = 104 hours.
Dr. Collabro does not think it will take that many hours . The
Architects and school department can do a lot of the document
work. The presentation to groups will be covered under number 4.
(Steve Greelish joined the meeting at 4: 55 p. m. )
Bob Whritenour said he is not clear when the clock is on and off.
• He would like to clarify that. He agrees it is a good idea to
have that much reserved .
He is most concerned , that after Dr. Collabro's report is
completed, there is sufficient interfacing with the Architect to
get the most out of the report. How much of interpreting with
the Architect is included under #2 and when do we start the extra
time?
Dr. Collabro broke down the $10 ,467 . figure:
- summary reports - 15 days work x $520 per day
- attendance at meetings - 10 1 , 950 ( 3 hrs ec meeting)
- travel- 10 trips 108 mile x . 27 $292
- to meet with staff and others $250 .
- printing of report $150
- other expenses $25 .00
There are 10 meetings with the Committee and meetings with
principals , etc . Meetings with the Architect are not included .
Therefore, those 100 extra hours will be spent with the
Architect.
The Committee agreed Dr. Collabro should be the contact person
with SBAB (now GESS) .
Dr. Collabro agreed to an hourly rate of $65 . per hour and . 27
per mile for travel .
• 2
1
