$ • TO: Mashpee High School Building Committee <br /> FROM: Joe Polito <br /> DATE: September 14, 1993 <br /> As discussed the RFP needs to be prepared by the Selectmen and <br /> Town Counsel . <br /> The Mashpee High School Building Committee will need to makes <br /> it's views and preferences known to the Selectmen ; at this point <br /> they are: <br /> la. Dr. DeMoura's (skills/experience list) for scope of <br /> work. <br /> 2a. The fee schedule obtained from DCPO , etc. <br /> 3a. The designer selection guideline from DCPO. <br /> 4a. The architects work to date; site definition <br /> 5a. The appraisers work to date on land cost. <br /> The Committee needs to put together a needs list of what results <br /> the building architect and the design process need to provide for <br /> the development of the High School ; the RFP may consist of some <br /> of the following : <br /> 1b. Review findings obtained by the Building Committee from <br /> • educational consultant program information supported by <br /> superintendent's office, school committee, the site <br /> feasibility study architect's report and any and all <br /> town and town authority input. <br /> 2b. Meet with organizations and committees to synthesize <br /> program information . <br /> 3b. Develop design process with the Building Committee, <br /> Selectmen and Town Counsel . <br /> 4b. Provide detailed engineering on selected site a.s. a. p. <br /> if not sooner. <br /> 5b. Coordinate with School Governance Authority: <br /> - Contractual/Fees arrangements with Selectmen/Town <br /> Counsel . <br /> - Scheduling,Design, Construction, etc. <br /> - Materials use qualification . <br /> - Reporting process (clerk of works) , Building <br /> Committee, etc. <br /> - Construction supervision. <br /> - Town planning authorities, etc . <br /> - Any and all information obtained at Sept 24, 1993 <br /> meeting. <br /> 6b. Develop conceptual design through an agreed design <br /> process so as to interface with Building Committee and <br /> all other authorities. <br /> 7b. Design is to be sensitive to the fact that no Mashpee <br /> high school exists and that the building reflect many <br /> aspects of town life. <br /> 1 <br />
