Peter said it is unusual that a school be required to build their own STP. Would the State make allowances for the STP in the formula so we don ' t have to take money that should be going to classrooms? Bob Fournier explained there is a Form F to be filed with the State requesting additional money from the formula for these types of circumstances. Within the next few weeks , they will file it and get a response from the State . Joe said during the design development phase all the different rooms will need input from the Committee - what goes in them, how they are laid out . Because we don ' t have a high school staff this will be difficult to do. Merry Sue and Janice can both get teacher ' s input. Dr. DeMoura has a Committee of teaches who live in Mashpee. Ray suggested creating a questionnaire, about all the different spaces , seeking input. There will be a Value Management Workshop held June 20-24th . CHARRETTE The Charrette will be held May 24-26th. Everyone talked about the process , what will the public be seeing and doing? Bob Fournier explained on Tuesday morning they will walk the site , talk about it, they will develop site plans , analyze it, generate as much thought as possible . Later that day the Committee will come in , see what they did for the day and give input. On Wednesday afternoon , about 3 : 00 , they suggested the high school students could come over. Later that day , 5 : 00 , they will be open to interest groups , town departments and any public who might be interested . Thursday they will work through the morning and about 1 : 00 the Committee can meet with them and review what has been developed over the 3 days . Peter suggested also inviting the Selectmen to the Thursday afternoon meeting. Ian thought 1 classroom may be too small when the public arrives . If it is advertised as an "open house" between 5-8, hopefully everyone will not show up at once. Where should it be advertised? Newspapers - Enterprise , CC Times, Cable TV ( 55 & 20 ) , send a notice home with . the students. Bill Martiros will tell the taxpayers association . Bob Fournier will prepare a brief 1 paragraph "press release" to be used for all the advertising . The Committee discussed when the students should participate . There were concerns that if they come after school , there will be no transportation home . Can they go during school hours? That will be up to Dr. DeMoura. Bob Fournier will talk with Dr. DeMoura and ask when. it would be best for them to be available to the students . 5
