Marty Gordon runs the pre- construction services department. Tishman Construction has been in business 98 years . They originated as a developer; all they did was build for themselves, hospitals , college dorms, hotels. That was for the first 50-60 years. Since then , we build for other people as well as ourselves . Project success relies heavily on what happens before the shovel goes in the ground . Tishman has a full , in house construction department. Their philosophy - one stop shopping . You get Tishman , not consultants . Presently , they are working on 80-90 schools nationwide for the West Patterson NJ school system, Intermediate school 90 in NYC , capital school improvement in Chicago for 34 schools. These projects are happening today . Mashpee will get current, relevant input from what other schools are doing nationwide, what other schools have done that is State of the art. They have also done a significant amount of MA public work projects . They have in house expertise in cost accounting , purchasing , estimating, with current data base on high school projects from around the country, scheduling , architectural . Mashpee will have access to anyone of these departments at any time through the project manager. We provide you with all the information you need to feel comfortable with the project. Joe McComisky , VP with Tishman has 30 years experience. He has worked with SMMA before. He reviewed with the Committee their preconstruction phase services - plan review, scheduling , budget preparation and bid packaging . They protect the budget, at no time is it less than a complete number. They will supplement with our experience to complete it. They are very familiar with Chapt. 149 bid requirements and will make sure the documents are complete. They feel very comfortable doing that. Tishman encourages you to call upon our resources , professional engineers . You will be getting a second set of eyes for the design team, and more experience . Construction services tie in with the preconstruction. They build in quality and cost control . Insure the contractor has a complete set of specs and make sure the loopholes are filled . 7
