MASHPEE HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE MINUTES <br /> TUESDAY , AUGUST 30 , 1994 <br /> TOWN HALL <br /> Present : Peter Dini -zic , Merry Sue Ahlgren , Janice Mills , Joe <br /> Polito, Bill Martiros , Paul Griffin , Joan Tavares , Michael Pare <br /> Also Present : Bob Whriteneur , Tom Fudala, Bill Hauck , Dr. <br /> DeMoura, Ian Aitchison , Tom Wren , Ed Frenette , Ray Bordwell <br /> Absent: Steve Greelish <br /> COMMITTEE DISCUSSION <br /> - Bob Whritenour explained the Town has finally received <br /> permission from Brynwood to get on their property . <br /> - He is setting up a land acquisition meeting for Thursday <br /> afternoon at 5 : 00 p . m. <br /> - Appraisal work : the appraiser received the most revised drawing <br /> 1 week ago and said he needs about 3 weeks to complete the work . <br /> Ian told Bob there is some contract language on general <br /> conditions that the architects would like to have. Could he <br /> provide copies of the contracts for the Coombs School ? <br /> Bob said he would ask Town Counsel to provide them with general <br /> conditions language . <br /> - correspondence from Michael Ford , a teacher at the Middle <br /> School . He talks about design of the building so they will bring <br /> it up with the architects . <br /> Merry Sue thought his suggestion of installing outside street <br /> hockey courts was very interesting . <br /> Ian explained the survey for the water willow plant showed there <br /> were none on site . <br /> The Committee asked where SMMA stands with the traffic study? <br /> Ian said SMMA is getting proposals . <br /> Ian said today the architect will present the progress of the <br /> revised layout and elevation treatment. Ian did an update on the <br /> value management proposals and the cost overrun has crept up . <br /> again . He is concerned about moving ahead and the Committee may <br /> get a nasty surprise. Changes are now beginning to effect the <br /> schedule . The Committee needs to address this now. <br /> Sewage Treatment Plant <br /> The Committee asked the architects for 3 possibilities and costs <br /> associated and the pros and cons . <br /> Peter explained the Board of Health has directed Elias McQuaid to <br /> reverse his position ; they are no longer supporting a <br /> conventional system. The Board of Health now officially supports <br /> a tertiary system for 14 , 00 gallons per day . <br /> The Board of Health does not think there is a tragi; record for <br /> the Bioclear system. <br /> 1 <br />
