The School Committee understands they may have to find other options and make a decision. This group has to decide if that is going to be the schedule and inform the School Committee. The Committee agreed to decide next month if the schedule should be extended to Jan 1997 . Ian is very concerned about the sewage treatment plant- it is going no where. Bob said Peter did not want to make a decision tonight. Bob is going to tell Mark Pare to stop work. People in Town feel he is not working in the best interest of the Committee. There is incompatibility with the Health Dept. If it is a problem with personalities it will never be resolved. They will have to settle the account with Pare and get someone else on as soon as possible. Tom Wren explained that Chartwell was asked to gather the existing data re: flows. Chartwell are not engineers. The Town has someone, like Mark Pare, who can provide interpretation on those figures. Bob said they can't start construction without approval from DEP. Mark Pare has been able to get concessions with DEP because of his personal relationship with them. He is also able to ask for quick review by DEP when it is needed. DeFao Wait and Pare are the best in the area in designing plants. The Committee suggested asking the Health Department to attend next week's meeting. Ask Elias McQuaid what he wants to see (for plant) and can he work with Mark Pare. Merry Sue said she doesn 't think this meeting is the place for that j discussion to happen. j Bill said the problems need to be resolved, we need to stick with them because of the time deadline. Is Mark Pare aware there is a problem? Bob said he is not. The Committee agreed to ask Elias McQuaid to the next meeting to ask him to gather the data on flows of other high schools and to talk about sewage treatment plants.
