MASHPEE HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE <br /> TUESDAY, JUNE 27 , 1995 <br /> TOWN HALL <br /> Members Present : Paul Griffin, Peter Dinizio , Bill Martiros , Merry Sue <br /> Ahlgren, Janice Mills , Joe Polito , Steve Greelish <br /> Also Present : Jim Byrne , Ian Aitchison, Tom Wren, Ed Frenette , Joel <br /> Seeley, Dan Solien, Dr. Lincoln DeMoura, Mike Pietrowski , Bill Hauck, Stone <br /> Building Company representatives <br /> Meeting convened at 4 : 10 p .m. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> - anyone with suggestions , items for the time capsule should contact Mike <br /> Horne . <br /> - letter from Roppleman and Paige , ( town counsel ) regarding Southshore <br /> elevator. They want to be disqualified as a bidder because they missed a <br /> section of the bid . The town can deduct the difference it will cost to <br /> accept the second lowest bidder so it shouldn ' t cost the town any more . <br /> - Cape Cod Commission received the draft groundwater discharge permit . <br /> - Attorney General denied the protest of Lavange electric . <br /> MINUTES <br /> ** Merry Sue made a motion to approve the minutes of May 30 , <br /> 1995 . Janice seconded the motion. All members were in <br /> favor 6-0 . <br /> Construction Contract and Administration <br /> Joel Seeley explained Stone Building was asked to attend this meeting to <br /> present their progress to date . <br /> They have submitted the first interim payment request . SMMA found it <br /> acceptable and will submit it tonight for the Board' s approval . <br /> Stone has submitted a schedule of values , there are still some areas that <br /> need clean up. They will incorporate the comments and complete it prior to <br /> drawing on any of those items in question. <br /> The 60 day schedule has been revised and they are working on the CPM. The <br /> CPM must be approved prior to Stone submitting their second payment <br /> request . <br /> Tom Wren spoke with Bob Whritenour to get clarification on Mashpee ' s <br /> requirement for reporting on MBE/WBE. He has requested Stone send <br /> quarterly statements of the number of laborers on site . <br /> Prevailing wage : Tom has not seen anything yet from Stone but it should be <br /> forthcoming shortly. It will be a weekly statement . <br /> Paul spoke with Bob Whritenour today and he gave Paul the prevailing wage <br /> requirements form the state . Paul will read them and get back to him. <br /> Bob told Paul he may have misquoted the WBE/MBE reporting requirements . <br /> For now, Tom should leave it as planned with Bob . <br /> Joel explained they have asked Stone to attend to discuss the progress of <br /> the project and any areas of slippage in the schedule . <br /> 1 <br />
