The area could be manipulated for other use if <br /> necessary. <br /> Joe is concerned about problems that occur with window sills - condensation <br /> and the plastic laminate lifts. <br /> Joel said they will look at that detail . <br /> Joe said the gas designation could be more clear on the drawings. <br /> Joel said they will be. <br /> Bill said there are a few things on this plan he never saw before: Family <br /> Living, Office Technology, Fashion/Clothing? <br /> Merry Sue said they are all part of the ed specs the Committee agreed to <br /> one year ago. <br /> Bill thought Family Living was eliminated? Daycare was eliminated . <br /> Family Living could be early childhood development course, home management. <br /> Office technology is the business courses. <br /> There will be a meeting in Dr. DeMoura's office with Phil Poinelli to go <br /> over the ed specs and be sure everything is in this building . <br /> - Bill said last week the Committee heard there is a 6% inflation cost, how <br /> will they reduce that amount? <br /> Paul said it was only an issue in relation to SMMA's contract. <br /> Joe asked if inflation had been accounted for, in the budget? <br /> Paul said when the budget was developed, Fin Com disagreed and felt there <br /> wouldn ' t be any inflation. By waiting until 1997 to open this building, <br /> there could be a potential $2 million cost. <br /> As long as the estimate meets our budget, we are in good shape. <br /> Joe asked if Daedulus' pricing accounts for inflation, for when the <br /> building will be constructed- if so there shouldn 't be any escalation in <br /> cost. <br /> Paul said the escalation was only in relation to SMMA' s contract <br /> obligation. <br /> - Joe said the Committee has not seen the administration area changes. <br /> Joel said they have completed the layout for the administration area and <br /> Manny Tavares is putting in the furniture. Dr. DeMoura has seen the <br /> sketch. Merry Sue and Janice have seen it but did not bring it to this <br /> meeting. <br /> Paul told Joel that Phil Poinelli should realize that Dr. DeMoura is not <br /> the Committee. He has to bring those changes to the Committee for <br /> approval . The Committee will give the go ahead, except for that area. <br /> Bill Hauck said no town department has seen any plans for a long time. He <br /> 2 <br />
