MASHPEE HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE MEETING NIP;UTES <br /> TUESDAY, JULY 25 , 1995 <br /> TOWN HALL <br /> Members Present : Bill Martiros , Merry Sue Ahlgren , Janice Mills , <br /> Joe Polito , Steve Greelish, Paul Griffin , Peter Dinizio <br /> Also Present : Tom Wren, Jim Byrne , Joel Seeley, Ed Frenette , Dr . <br /> Lincoln DeMoura <br /> Meeting convened at 4 : 12 p. m. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> South Shore elevator could not come to terms with Stone . Town <br /> Counsel sent a certified letter giving them 48 hours to sign a <br /> contract or the town would notify the bond company. <br /> Mr . Barthelmus notified the Committee that a contract was signed <br /> yesterday. <br /> Chartwell. contract : Paul explained he an Ian have come to an <br /> agreement on the contract fee . He will try to get it to the <br /> Selectmen at their next meeting for their approval . <br /> FEE ACCOUNTS <br /> ** Paul made a motion to forward to the Selectmen for <br /> payment $14 , 000 for Chartwell for Project Management and <br /> Clerk of the Works services , subject to their contract <br /> being signed . Merry Sue seconded the motion. All <br /> members were in favor 6-0 . <br /> ALARM SYSTEM <br /> Jim Byrne presented a proposal to the Committee regarding the <br /> installation of an alarm system at the trailers at the site . The <br /> cost is for all the trailers so Stone will split the cost . Jim <br /> said their real fear is vandalism to all the paperwork stored <br /> there . <br /> ** Paul made a motion to forward to Selectmen for their <br /> approval an addition to Stone ' s contract for $$1 , 028 for <br /> an alarm system in the Clerk of the Works trailer . Merry <br /> Sue seconded the motion. <br /> Joe asked if security was included already in Stone ' s contract.? <br /> Paul said it is not . They must provide the trailers and <br /> equipment ( fax , copier , etc . ) but not security. Stone has <br /> insurance for the trailer and equipment but he. is more concerned <br /> about: the records , drawings etc . They are very valuable . <br /> Steve Greeli_sh gave Jim the name of another local company. Jim <br /> will call them to see if they can meet this price . <br /> 1 <br />
