CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION Paul said they asked Mr . Barthelmes to address the Committee on where they stand on the job . It seems to be getting worse . Mr . Barthelmes said they had a problem getting anchor bolts . Lower Cape ( subcontractor) has just added people to the project and will be working overtime to get back on track. There is a Sept 6 deadline for seeding on the ballfields . He expects to begin loaming the late part of next week. They are currently working on the football field area. Paul said there is also an issue of getting shop drawings on time . The electrical contractor showed up on site with pipe and the installers , and wanted to do something with it . Griffin Electric is a very successful company, fast and aggressive . He has a problem with people trying to pull a fast one . Mr . Barthelmes said those shop drawings have been submitted , the process takes 21 days . Paul said there are still a lot of shop drawings due . Is there a schedule? Joel said one was submitted and returned with comments . SMMA needs them well in advance so they can return them in a timely manner. Mr. Barthelmes said they will be coming in in an orderly, timely fashion . Paul said 1 month ago Mr. Barthelmes met with the Committee , because they were behind in placing the footings , he quoted a linear footage that would be placed each day and promised they would get caught up. They are still behind . Paul explained , under the contract , the Committee can invoke their rights that require Stone to catch up, by putting more men on the job, working overtime or working a second shift . ( The Committee reviewed the section of the spec which outlines this ) . Paul said this project has to be done on time : Mr. Barthelmes said they have increased the number of workers on the site and the number of hours on the site . Paul said how- they get back to the schedule is their responsibility. They are at the second requisition and they are 10% behind. ** Paul made a motion to ask SMMA to forward written notice to the contractor involving the town' s right , under section 1 . 03 Schedule Compliance , since the contractor is 10% behind on the 60 day schedule . SMMA will decide what method they are to use to catch up . Merry Sue seconded the motion.
