Merry Sue asi-ed how long they have to get caught up:' <br /> Tom said there :is only 5-6 weeks for substantial completion on <br /> the fields and there is a lot of work to do . <br /> Ed Frenette said an increase is workers is a qualitative <br /> judgement . A second shift is not judgmental . <br /> Jim Byrne was told today by the Superintendent that he plans on <br /> working overtime , 2 hours per day 2-3 days per week . <br /> Paul said he wants 6:MMA to have the authorization to do whatever <br /> it takes to get Stone back on track. <br /> * All members were in favor of the motion 6-0** <br /> Pail e:,plained that on Saturday , Jim Byrne , Clerk of the works <br /> made an unannounced visit to the site and found people working <br /> without his knowledge . They were stripping forms 12 hours after <br /> they were poured. <br /> Mr. Barthelmes said they were working without Stone ' s knowledge . <br /> Paul said stripping 12 hours after a pour does not sit well with <br /> him . He is letting them know now he will have them take the wall <br /> out if necessary . <br /> Mr . Barthelmes said they let the sub know that no one is to work <br /> unless Stone knows it and gives authorization. These people were <br /> not directed by Lower Cape , they were working without. <br /> authorization. <br /> Joe asked how they can prevent that from happening again' <br /> Mr . Barthelmes said it is the first time this has happened to <br /> him . They were working without the foreman' s knowledge . <br /> Jim said people are as honest. as you make them. That is why <br /> every once in awhile he makes unannounced visits . <br /> He had requested they let him know 24 hours in advance if they <br /> would be working overtime . <br /> Paul said they got caught early and that will set, the tone for <br /> the job. <br /> SECOND PAYMENT REQUISITION <br /> Paul said he is going to make a motion to table the requisition <br /> because as of Friday the prevailing wage requirements had not <br /> been met . If the town is found to be in violation by the State , <br /> they could loose any money from the State . This documentation is <br /> not here yet , he hopes it is just paperwork. <br /> As of Monday the CPM/Schedule had not been approved . It was <br /> received by SMMA on Monday morning and they have not reviewed it <br /> yet . <br /> The Schedule of Values was just received today, and needs review. <br /> ** Paul made a motion to not approve Stone ' s payment <br /> requisition 42 until all the items listed above are met . <br /> Joe seconded the motion. <br /> Paul said the prevailing wage requirement is critical ; it is a <br /> real I;hreat to the towns 58% reimbursement . <br /> 3 <br />
