steel .
Paul agreed . The schedule is written to their detriment .
There is a very aggressive Super on the job. He is doing the
best he can.
Joel said SMMA has been going over the schedule for the next 3
weeks , it is doable if everything falls in line .
Paul explained the testing company said the floor finish is
perfect .
Joel explained the section where the forms were stripped early
tested OK. No remedial testing is required. Their engineers '
opinion is that section of wall should be OK.
Fields and Grounds : Lawrence Lynch started. working overtime last
week' and will be working Saturdays .
Dan Solien visited the site and looked at the stockpiles of top
soil and found the pile contained excessive amounts of debris -
branches , roots , etc .
Some of this material was already spread on the south field . Dan
wrote a field inspection report which was passed onto Stone . The
material needs to be screened. The method is under the
contractors responsibility but the material has to be removed .
There are two issues :
- remove the material from the stockpile before any more is
placed .
- remedial action for the south field on what has already been
placed. (About 1/3 of the field has been spread , 8" deep. )
Mr. Barthelmes met with Gerry Lynch today. They .will screen the
rest of the loam. For the spread areas they will re-grub the
area and clean it out , disking it a york raking it . They met for
2 hours discussing these issues .
Paul asked why they waited so long before calling Dan Solien to
look at it?
Jim said he only heard on Friday they would start using it and he
called Dan.
Paul asked if this will cause delay?
Mr . Barthelmes said Gerry Lynch said they can accomplish it
without delay - they can meet the date . They plan to spread 800
yards per day.
Tom said the date for spreading of loam for the football field
has already passed . There is a lot of catching up to be done.
Jim said L . Lynch seems to be the type of contractor who will do
whatever it takes to meet their commitment .
Mr . Barthelmes said after spreading of the loam, there will still
be excess material on site , probably about 4 , 000 yards . The
specifications are unclear as to what is to be done with it . L .
Lynch feels it is his .
Paul said there is a town bylaw that says loam belongs to the
town. The fill is his .
He suggested talking to Greg Taylor to see if there is any need
2
