MASHPEE HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26 , 1995 HIGH SCHOOL SITE The following members were present: Merry Sue Ahlgren, Bill Martiros, Paul Griffin, Peter Dinizio, Joe Polito. Joining the meeting were Tom Wren, Ian Aitchison, Jim Byrne, Joel Seeley, Bill Hauck, Bob Barthelmes, Steve Greelish, Ed Frenette, Gus Frederick, Director of Mashpee Leisure Services, John Williams, Principal of Mashpee High School, and Andrea Adams of Cape Cod Commission. After a brief inspection of the blockwork mock-up, the meeting conveined at 4: 20P.m. Bob B. informed the members that because of rain a proper inspection of the blockwork mock-up was not completed and that when it was dry another inspection would be done. At that time the color of the mortar would be approved by the architect. Site Inspection A meeting of last Wednesday with the subcontractor for the steel, and landscapers indicated no present problems and Costa would update the schedule by the end of the week. All other components are ready to go. An exterior study on the type of galvanizing is to be done to evaluate G60 vs. G90. A question was asked as to the time factor and it was recommended that if G60 was acceptable, it would be used for derrick 1 and the remainder would be G90, as designed. Wastewater Treatment Plant: Operation and Maintenance Andrea A. of Cape Cod Commission gave a brief description of assistance that could be provided from the Commission. She stated she could provide assistance with the Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) , in developing a Hazmat for the WWTP Plan with regard to an onsite laboratory and in ordering of chemicals. It was asked if guidelines were available and she stated an example plan could be provided. She also stated she had a generic response plan from a business in Falmouth that provided emergency numbers and information regarding chemical spills. A sample of this was left with T. Wren. She further stated that a consultant should be hired for the facility design and plan, also to check on resourses for micro scaling. T. Wren provided a plan from the Sandwich schools and a plan from G. H. Hore which was on loan to him. Also was a plan from Fields Pt. and Willow Bend. These will be xeroxed and kept on file for future use as a check list for this plant vs. theirs. Andrea A. will try to provide a copy of the plan from the WWTP at Falmouth Technology Park. Construction Progress Bob B. informed the members that the Football field had been completed today an that the softball and soccer were covered with peatmoss. He further added that the rain had inhibited equipment getting on the fields. He mentioned that drainage was being put in and that the electric company had provided a set up for temporary power this a.m.
