,I.
MASHPEE HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE
Tuesday, March 14, 1995
Page 16
January 31, 1995. Merry Sue seconded the motion. Paul called for any discussion, of
which there was none. Paul called for a vote, of which all was in favor 7-0.
• Paul told Tom that he would have to call him regarding Dianne Rommelmeyer's request to
meet with he and Tom some afternoon before the meeting and ask Tom to remember and
try to do that. She has a couple of prior issues to be resolved.
• Paul asked SMMA what seems to be the issue with Childs. Phil stated that they had called
them a number of times and had expected to get a report in from them and are expecting it
any minute now. They had hoped to have it for this meeting and apologized for not. Paul
stated that it would be one of the first items to target for next meeting.
• Paul also stated that they have color boards and asked for a status. Ed stated that they had
done two submittals and would prefer to do, rather than doing it twice, and seeing that they
have an enormous amount of direction, to wait until the shop drawings and submittals come
in to make the final choice on the final set. Paul asked what other items would they have for
them in the near future.
• Paul asked for the date of the next Selectmen's meeting which was determined to be March
27th. He suggested that they move the Committee's meeting to the Monday prior to this
meeting. Paul stated that the NEXT MEETING WOULD BE TUESDAY, MARCH 21ST,
AT 4:00 P.M. Items to be discussed will be the clerk on Chartwell, Childs, and Paul asked
Tom to get the budget thing resolved by then so that we can discuss things money wise.
Additionally, Paul stated that there will be A SPECIAL MEETING TO BE HELD ON
MONDAY, MARCH 27TH, AT 4:00 P.M. This special meeting would be to discuss the
Early Site Package.
• Paul stated that Bob Whritenour sent the Committee a letter which came from the
Selectmen which Ed was copied on, regarding the Selectmen had voted to ask for
preference in hiring and hopefully that would be stated in the documents. Greg had issued
a letter to the Committee basically saying that in some of the directions where we were
working with SMMA is a requirement of the Committee.
• Joe asked where the Committee wanted to store the drawings and contract documents.
Paul stated he would get a cabinet. Steve will take them to go through them for a couple of
days. Joe also requested from SMMA another set of drawings. Phil said he could just sign
it out from the sets that were stored here. He said that the previous day they called and
ordered another 20 sets.
• Paul stated that Tom called him and they did a calculation and estimated that there would
probably be over 100 bidders including the sub-trades. Ed stated that they expected
approximately 6-12 general contractors.
Paul Griffin made a motion to adjourn at 6:52 p.m. Bill seconded the motion. Paul
called for a vote, of which all was in favor 7-0.
Minutes submitted by Brenda L. Achille
