E
Peter asked Bill Hauck if there are any major issue he sees to prohibit him
from issuing a certificate of occupancy?
Bill Hauck said he thinks they shouldn' t have the open house on Friday.
That may require him to rush the paperwork/approval . He would rather see
the work done , to use that time for the workmen.
Peter said Bill has two roles as inspector, to look at those thins not in
compliance with code and those things not in compliance with the
contract/punchlist items . He would like to see Bill separate those
outstanding safety/code issues from punchlist issues .
Bill said he has no problem with the architectural portion.
Peter asked how we protect ourselves from the quality issues which need to
be repaired?
Paul said we don' t pay Stone . They can fisc it after school hours or we can
hire someone else to fix it .
Paul asked Bill Hauck if he is waiting for SMMA sign off?
Bill said that is key. There are still some items to be taken care of
before SMMA will sign off .
Tom said Joel is working with Stone to get required paperwork from them.
Bill said by waiting to allow students in the building until Wednesday,
that gives us another 4 days .
Paul explained he asked Ed Frenette and Joel Seeley where things are for
building sign off. They are waiting for:
- Occuhealth results
- paperwork to be in their hand re : gas test , electrical test , fire dept .
sign off .
Bill thinks getting the sewage treatment plant back on line by Thursday
afternoon is tight .
Paul was told the plant would be back on line today.
Tom said it has not started yet , hopefully tomorrow.
Dr . DeMoura asked if what he is hearing is there will be no orientation
inside the building on Friday but students can enter the building on
September 4th?
Bill Hauck said that is correct , if SMMA gets him all the sign offs , by
Tuesday ( early in the day) .
Paul said SMMA' s liability is on the line , they will not sign off if
something is not ready.
Dr. DeMoura said he would like John Williams to be able to meet with
students in the parking lot on Friday, is that acceptable .
Paul said they should plan to meet in the parking lot , if we have approval
by then they could possibly go inside the building .
He said that Alan Scott assured him the landscaping would be completed
within the boundary area.
Kathy Lynch asked if there is no definite answer yes or now about opening
the school next Wednesday?
Bill Hauck said that is correct .
Paul said he can assure them as of today there is nothing on the list of
5
