Oohn Williams said they have been waiting since September 30th for the home
economics room to be completed.
Jim said he doesn' t have any information , Stone has not been showing up at
meetings .
Peter asked if they are being unresponsive?
Jim said absolutely.
Joel said there is not much work in the food lab , they are waiting for
materials .
Peter asked Joel , in his opinion , how long would it take a reasonable
contractor to get C & D open:'
Joel said if they could get the material , it would take only 1 day to get
it all in.
Bill asked if we can get the bonding company involved?
Steve said the incentive is dropping because there is no money involved.
STATUS OF FIELDS
Dan Solein was present to follow up on the condition of the fields . At his
previous meeting before the Committee , Dan made the recommendation to fire
the landscape contractor and move on. It was determined that was not
possible but it did trigger a productive change .
The slice seeding work was given to a company responsible for seeding most
of the golf courses in New England . The fields already show signs of their
articipation. Holden Farms continues to work on the fields overall and
hey are about 95% complete with the repairs . They will complete the re-
seeding of the fields tomorrow.
Is this dormant seeding? Dan said it depends on the weather we see in the
next few weeks . We may see some germination be we won' t see substantial
growth until the spring .
Dan suggested he complete an appraisal of the fields and recommend to the
Committee maintenance procedures for the spring and summer.
Peter asked if the field are draining well now in the southeast corner?
Dan said they are . There is no ponding water .
Brian Lawlor is looking into the ponding water outside of B wing .
Dan has written that into his punchlist .
Steve asked how we will deal with the assessment of the fields? How will we
carry over enough money to cover this?
Joel said the civil engineer will do a punchlist . That will become the
basis to develop a retainage .
Steve wants to be sure history is considered in that process i . e the
seeding was only done recently and may not make it .
Joel said that Stone will not get paid for that work until an evaluation is
done in the Spring . It is on hold until then .
Dan said he has documented the history well and has requested prices for
work he anticipates will be needed in the spring .
Dan thinks the football field is draining well . The playing area has been
0 raded well and is being seeded and will be fertilized again this fall . He
hinks it will be in good shape in the spring . He is more concerned about
3
