Private Shellfish Grant Areas - Closed to All Public Shellfishing <br /> These areas have been privately leased to individuals for the purpose of culturing shellfish. These areas will have <br /> their boundary corners marked with large yellow inflatable buoys marked "Private Shellfish Grant # , <br /> and/or signs on the shore marked in a similar manner. <br /> 1 <br /> Contaminated Shellfish Transplant Area - Closed to All Shellfishing Activity <br />' Popponesset Bay <br /> The waters and flats enclosed by a line drawn from the west end of the northern side of the Popponessec S <br />' Island Bridge in a northerly direction along the mean high water mark to the sign on the beach in front of <br /> . 199 Daniels Island Road, then a line drawn across the water to a sign placed on the tip of Popponessec <br /> Island,then in a southerly direction along the mean high water mark to the east end of the northern side of A <br /> the Popponesset Island Bridge, then along the northern side of the bridge back to the point <br /> of origin. <br /> Waquoit BayBay <br /> c The waters and flats enclosed by a line drawn from the high water mark on the north side of and at the <br /> I base of the pier at 105 Whippoorwill Circle across the Great River to the high water mark on the north side <br /> and at the base of the pier at 426 Monomoscoy Road, then in a northerly direction along the high water <br /> t' mark to a point on the south side and at the base of the pier at 368 A Monomoscoy Road, then back across !/ <br /> Great River to the sign on the point of land to the west and south of the Great River Public Boat Ramp, <br /> then in a southerly direction along the mean high water mark to the point of origin at the base of the pier at <br /> a 105 Whippoorwill Circle. <br /> Non-Commercial (Family) Permit Shellfishing Areas - Closed to Commercial Shellfishing ) <br /> >d <br /> Popponesset Bay <br /> ' The area commonly called "Popponesset Spit"; this area being the waters and flats enclosed by a line <br /> drawn from the grey sign at the west end of the Spit out to the edge of the boating channel, then in an <br /> easterly direction along the edge of the channel to the inside point of the Spit, then in a westerly direction <br /> back along the mean high water mark to the starting point at the grey sign. <br /> Waquoit Bay <br /> The waters and flats enclosed by a line drawn from a sign at the mouth of the creek that runs under the <br /> Seconsett Island Causeway out to a white buoy with a red stripe approximately 150 feet out from the mean <br /> high water mark, then in a southerly direction in a line parallel to the shore of Seconsett Island to a similar <br /> buoy placed approximately 150 feet out from a sign on the beach at 26 Seconsett Island Road,then inshore <br /> to that sign, then back along the mean high water mark to the original starting point. <br /> Waquoit Bay - Falmouth Side - Closed to All Shellfishing on Sundays from June 15th through <br /> September 15th. � <br /> Mashpee side open to non-commercial harvesting seven days a week, open to commercial harvesting everyday <br /> except Sunday. <br /> 1 <br /> i <br />
