Shellfish Constable <br /> Date: September.. 8, 1992 <br /> Re: Proposed Scallop Regulations 1992-1993 L <br /> Correction of Mashpee Shellfish Regulations - 1992 <br /> The attached proposed 1992-1993 Scallop Regulations <br /> were voted at the Shellfish Commission Meeting September 3, <br /> 1992. The proposed regulations and a Notice of Public <br /> Hearing to comment on them should be published in the <br /> newspaper . Since scallop season begins at sunrise on <br /> October 1 , the final version of the regulations must be <br /> approved by the Board of Selectmen before September 29. <br /> In the same notice and hearing, correction of a <br /> typographical error in the 1992 Mashpee Shellfish <br /> Regulations should be publicized. Quahogs are undersize <br /> (seed) if they measure less than 1 inch in thickness. This <br /> replaces the old definition of undersize quahogs being less <br /> than 2 inches in the longest dimension. The corrections of <br /> the regulations are: <br /> Article III, 2 - add "or quage" after the word ring <br /> Article III , 4 - add "or quage" after the word ring <br /> Article III , 9a - delete the word "quahogs" <br /> Article III , 9d - add "Quahogs -" as the first word <br /> - delete " (hinge width) " <br /> II <br /> Attachments: 1) Proposed 1992-1993 Scallop Regulations <br /> 2) Mashpee Shellfish Regulations —1992 <br /> cc: Jane D.
