Article 39 To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to acquire by purchase or eminent domain for conservation purposes all, or a major portion, of a parcel of land of 18.5 acres, more or less, identified on the 1987 Mashpee Asses- sors' Maps as Map 95, Plot 6, generally located on Great Neck Road South opposite Godfrey Road,the said land to be held in the care and custody of the Conservation Commission pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40, Section 8C* further, to see if the Town will vote to appropriate $600,000 or any other sum for such purpose, including expenses incidental and related thereto, and to raise such appropriation, the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, be authorized to borrow $600,000 orany other sum under and pursuant to Chapter 44, Section 7(3) and, if applicable, Chapter 40, Section SC, of the General Laws, or arry other enabling authority, and to issue bonds or notes of the Town therefor, with said bonding authorization contingent upon passage of a referendum to exclude the principal and interest on such debt from the tax levy Imitation imposed by Chapter 59, Section 21 C of the General Laws (so-called Proposition 2 112), and further, to see I the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds $51 )000, orany other sum, to the Great Neck Road South Land Purchase Account to provide for interest and debt issuance expenses; further) to see if the Town will authorize the Board of Selectmen andfor Conservation Commission to applyforand accept Federal and/or State grants, including reimbursement under Chapter 132A, Section 11 of the General Laws to be applied by the Town toward the financing of this purchase, and to enter into contracts and agreements with Federal and/or State agencies, private conservation trusts, or other entities or persons in connection with the purchase and preservation for conservation purposes of all ora major portion of such land),and finally,to see ifthe Town will authorize the Conservation Commission and the Board of Selectmen to enter into agreements and execute any and all instruments as may be necessary on behalf of the Town to effectuate said purchase, or take any other action related thereto. :,iotlon to raise and aooroDria-.e S60C . 000 borrow 1600,000 ralse and ao-_roo.-Ia-,e to zhe '�'reat '�,eck aoad South Land Purchase Account for Interest and debt -issuance $51 ,000 YES i 1 6 . . . ..-jO 17 . . .'�07TC�j UA23,IES. . . . . . . . . . . . .9:34 P.M. 2j debt exc --is,. on 3ai'_o� vote -77S JU J 5,L 3-5 8
