Article 6 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning By-law to add the following to <br /> Section 6.3.B. of the :"TABLE OF USE REGULATIONS" with the designation "SP" <br /> under all zoning district columns: <br /> "15. Public, non-profit or commercial campground,for use by tents,motor <br /> homes, travel trailers, pickup coaches, camping trailers, and similar <br /> recreational camping vehicles (but excluding mobile homes manu- <br /> factured homes or other transportable residences or other residences <br /> intended for long-term occupancy)may be permitted by special permit <br /> from the Planning Board subject to any other regulations of the Board <br /> of Health and other Town, County or State agencies, and subject to <br /> the provisions of Section 9.7." <br /> Also,to add the following new Section 9.7: <br /> "9.7 CAMPGROUNDS- Campgrounds as listed in Section 6.3.B.15 may be <br /> ' allowed by Special Permit issued by the Planning Board under the provisions of <br /> { <br /> Section 6.2 and subject to the following regulations: <br /> (1) No campground may be developed on a site containing less than ten <br /> (10)acres of upland area. <br /> (2) The maximum allowable number of campsites shall be calculated as <br /> four (4) times the total square footage of the site, divided by the <br /> minimum lot size applicable to the site, excluding any wetland or <br /> easement as noted in Subsection 7.4 "LAND SPACE <br /> REQUIREMENTS TABLE"footnote(12). The Board may require a <br /> smaller number of sites or greater setbacks if water quality, <br /> -. neighborhood impact, visual impact on water bodies, public lands or <br /> public roadways,impact on endangered or threatened species or other <br /> factors warrant. Any group camping area shall count as one site per <br /> proposed tent location or per parking space for said group area, <br /> whichever is greater. <br /> (3) No more than one-half of the campsites may be provided with sewer <br /> hook-ups or be used other than for tent camping. <br /> (4) Each campsite shall have a minimum area of 2500 square feet and a <br /> minimum width of 30 feet. No more than 1500 square feet may be <br /> cleared or otherwise developed for camping or parking on each site. <br /> (5) Where vehicular access is not provided directly to a campsite, a <br /> minimum of one parking space per site shall be provided in a <br /> reasonably convenient location. <br /> ` (6) No site, except for group camping sites, may have more than two <br /> 4 <br /> parking spaces on site or designated for its use. <br /> (7) No campsite (meaning the developed portion of the site)or any other <br /> ` facility, road, structure or clearing (other than limited clearing for <br /> walking trails or picnic sites approved by the Board and by the <br /> ti <br />
