v f Article 41 Y To see if the Town will vote to have the Department of Public Works (DPW) operate the Town's sanitary landfill and transfer station as well as to haul refuse between the Town's transfer station and the regional transfer station at the Massachusetts Military Reservation and toward that end to take the following actions: 1. Create the position of foreman and three positions of driver/operator within the DPW and raise and appropriate $105,792 to provide compensation, benefits and equipment to be apportioned to the following accounts: $80,775 to the DPW Sanitation Division Personnel Services Account; $1,200 to the DPW Sanitation Division Expenses Account; $14,400 to the Employee Medical Insurance Account; $168 to Employee Group Insurance Account; $1,172 to the Medicare Account; and$8,077 to the Pension Reserve Account; 2. Raise and appropriate $23,000 to the DPW Sanitation Division Expenses Account to provide for expenses of operating the landfill and transfer station and hauling refuse; 3. Transfer and appropriate a sum of money from the Construction of Landfill Transfer Station Account to the Transfer Station Equipment Account to pur- chase and equip vehicles needed for the DPW to haul refuse from the Town's transfer station to the regional transfer station; 4. Raise and appropriation or appropriate and transfer a sum of money to the Transfer Station Equipment Account to purchase equipment needed by the DPW to operate the landfill; 5. Amend Section 2.11.2 of the Town By-Laws relating to powers and duties of the Director of Public Works by adding the following sentence: Me director shall operate the sanitary landfill and transfer station."; and 6. Raise and appropriate a sum of money to construct a roadway between Ashers Path near the landf Wtransfer station entrance roadway to the DPW facility. 7. Raise and appropriate $85,500 to dispose of non-recyclable waste and hazardous waste; 8.
