Article 43 <br /> ' To see if the Town will vote to form under the supervision of the Board of Selectmen a <br /> municipal buddmgs maintenance department and toward that end the Town vote to take the <br /> following actions subject to an override of$82,179 from the provisions of Proposition 2 <br /> 112,so-called: <br /> 1. Create and provide an appropriation for the position of superintendent of buildings <br /> and create and provide appropriation for two positions of full-time custodians;and <br /> 2. Amend the Personnel Administration Plan Appendix A to include two positions, <br /> Superintendent of Buildings, grade 14, and Building Custodian, grade 5; and <br /> 3. Raise and appropriate$82.179, to be apportioned as follows: Buildings Maintenance <br /> T Department Personnel Services, $63,035; Employee Medical Insurance Account, <br /> $10,800: Group Insurance Account, $126; Medicare Account, $914; Pension <br /> Reserve Account, $6,304; and Buildings Maintenance Department Expense Account, <br /> $1,000; and <br /> 4. Appropriate and transfer to the Buildings Maintenance Department Personnel Services <br /> Account a total of $57,207 with $24,607 to be transferred from the Selectmen <br /> Maintenance Salary Account, $8,143 to be ttansferred from the Selectmen Personnel <br /> Services Account $19,952 to be transferred from the Police Maintenance Personnel <br /> Services Salary Account; and $4,505 from the Library Clerical Personnel Services <br /> Account;and <br /> 5. Appropriate and transfer to the Buildings Maintenance Department Expense Account a <br /> total of $57,819 with $21,500 to be transferred from the Town Hall Expense <br /> Account, $3,500 to be transferred from the Museum Expense Account, $15,619 to be <br /> transferred from the Firs Expense Account, $15,000 to be transferred from the DPW <br /> Muaiczpai Buildings Maintenance Account, $2,000 to be transferred from the council <br /> on Aging Expense Account, and to be transferred$200 from the Library Expense <br /> Account, and <br /> 6. Amend the Town By-Laws by deleting the wards "buildings and' from Section <br /> 2.11.2 Powers and Duties(of the Director of Public Works)so that said section shall <br /> state: 'The Director of Public Works shall, under the direction of the Board of <br /> Selectmen, have full charge of all public ways, sidewalks, storm drains and <br /> maintenance of all Town grounds, except those lands under control of the <br /> Conservation Commission.' and <br /> 7. Appropriate and transfer from the Stabilization Fund a sum of money to be used to <br /> purchase and equip a vehicle to be used by the Building Maintenance Department, or <br /> take any other action related thereto. <br /> vIotion to am=nd. . . . . see Pal'sowing. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . <br />
