Motion carries. . . . . . . . . . 11:41 p.m. Article 33 To see if the Town will vote to accept the layout of the private ways in Clipper Ship Village Subdivision consisting of Clipper Street, Ship' s Lantern Drive, Compass Drive, Topsail Road, Ship' s Rudder Drive, Ship' s Wheel Drive, Davit Road, Porthole Drive, Ship' s Anchor Drive, and Shipwreck Drive, as public ways as shown on a plan entitled "Clipper Ship Village Subdivision Plan of land in Mashpee, Mass. " , December 10, 1965, prepared by Mercer Engineering Corp. , South Yarmouth, Mass. , and recorded at the Registry of Deeds on April 3, 1969 Plan Book 227, Page 89, and to authorize and empower the Board of Selectmen to acquire the fee ownership on, over and under the said roads as so defined, by eminent domain, and to accomplish said purpose and for expenses incidental and related thereto and to make repairs and reconstruction to said roads, the Town vote to appropriate and to raise such appropriation, the Treasurer, with the approval of the Board of Selectmen, be authorized to borrow at one time or from time to time, under and pursuant to Chapter 44, Section 7 of the Massachusetts General Laws, or any other enabling authority, and to issue bonds or notes of the Town therefore; and further the Town vote to raise and appropriate or appropriate and transfer from available funds to the Roadways Account to provide for debt issuance Expenses; and further, that the Board of Selectmen is authorized to assess betterments to the owners of land abutting the ways.
