<br /> Explanation: This article would authorize the Board of other enabling authority,and to issue bonds or notes of
<br /> Selectmen to acquire,on behalf of the Conservation the Town therefor;and further,to see if the Town will
<br /> Commission,all or a portion of a parcel of land on Back vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available
<br /> Road which is bounded on two sides by the Town's funds$400 to the Issuance of Debt Account;and
<br /> existing John's Pond Park Conservation Area and fronts further,to see if the Town will authorize the Board of
<br /> on both Moody Pond,the town's only large totally Selectmen and/or Conservation Commission to apply
<br /> undeveloped pond,and John's Pond. Purchase would for and accept Federal,State and/or County grants,
<br /> complete protection of the entire shoreline of Moody including reimbursement under Chapter 132A,Section
<br /> Pond. The property is within the boundaries of the 11 of the General Laws,the"Self-Help Act" and/or
<br /> Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge.The Town will grants under Barnstable County's"Cape Cod
<br /> apply for a 52% grant reimbursement under the state's Pathways" program,to be applied by the Town toward
<br /> jSelf-Help Land Acquisition program to help defray the the financing of this purchase,and to enter into
<br /> j cost of this property. contracts or agreements with Federal,State and/or
<br /> County agencies,private conservation trusts or other
<br /> Finance Committee recommends approval. entities or persons in connection with the purchase of
<br /> such land and its preservation for conservation

<br /> Selectmen to acquire,by purchase or otherwise,for of the portion of the property purchased by the Town,
<br /> conservation purposes,all or a portion of a certain or$64,133,if received. As a result,the Town may be
<br /> parcel of land,being that land shown on a"Plan of able to acquire the proposed 2/3 of this property for
