Article 13 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to create two additional Firefighter EMT positions <br /> for the Fire & Rescue Department to begin January 1, 1999 and for said purpose <br /> raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds $35,000 to the Fire <br /> Department Salary and Wage Account; $4,300 to the Fire Department Expense <br /> Account; $508 to the Medicare Account; $5,481 to the Medical Insurance <br /> Account, and $35 to the Group Insurance Account, or take any other action <br /> relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Fire Chief <br /> Explanation: This action creates and funds two new positions for the Fire & <br /> Rescue Department. <br /> Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Motion made by Wayne Taylor. <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to create two additional Firefighter EMT positions <br /> for the Fire & Rescue Department to begin January 1, 1999 and for said purpose <br /> appropriate and transfer from Revenue Available for Appropriation $35,000 to <br /> the Fire Department Salary and Wage Account; $4,300 to the Fire Department <br /> Expense Account; $508 to the Medicare Account; $5,481 to the Medical <br /> Insurance Account, and $35 to the Group Insurance Account. <br /> Motion passes at 8:02pm. <br /> Article 14 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer from Revenue Available <br /> for Appropriation $1,300,000 and from Overlay Surplus $100,000 to offset the <br /> fiscal year 1999 tax levy, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: This article provides funds from available revenues to meet the <br /> Town's budgetary obligations for the current fiscal year within the property tax <br /> limitations of proposition 2%2 and to provide taxpayers with the third year of a <br /> three year property tax relief program. <br /> Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. <br />
