Motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer from Revenue Available for Appropriation $1,300,000 and from Overlay Surplus $100,000 to offset the fiscal year 1999 tax levy. Motion passes at 8:04pm. Article 15 To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer a sum of money to the Stabilization Account, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Board of Selectmen Explanation: This article places funds in the Town's Stabilization Fund for future use of the Town by a 2/3 vote at a Town Meeting. Based on estimates available it is anticipated that a minimum of $300,000 will be used for this purpose. Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. Motion made by David Leveille. Motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer $300,000 to the Stabilization Account. Motion passes at 8:05pm. Article 16 To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Leisure Service Revolving Account through the Town Accountant's Office in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 44, Section 53E %2, to be expended under the direction of the Leisure Service Department, in order to place revenues collected from the various Leisure Services Child Development Programs, which shall be used for the purpose of paying wages and benefits to conduct said Leisure Service programs, and to establish the limit on expenditures from said account for Fiscal Year 1999 at$31,150, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Leisure Service Department Explanation: This article seeks to reauthorize the Leisure Service Revolving Account necessary for operating the various Leisure Services Programs using income from registration fees for the programs. Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval.
