The commitment to quality vocational/ <br /> technical education is characterized by high expectations and account- <br /> ability for students, staff and administration. The academic curricu- <br /> lum is based,.in part, on the State Frameworks and the need to prepare <br /> students for citizenship, for family life, for decision making, and for <br /> modern technical and cultural literacy. The vocational/technical edu- <br /> cation is based on the present and future demands of industry and the <br /> needs of the student. Of equal importance is the celebration of student <br /> diversity and the school's humanistic approach to the individuality of <br /> the student. In the 21st century, where technology directs education <br /> and industry, the proper balance between the technical world and car- <br /> ing school environment must be maintained. <br /> 1. <br />
