Motivate the student to be a contributing member of society. <br /> a. Provide experiences which will develop the student's social, <br /> vocational/technical and academic skills. <br /> b Provide a staff that fosters a humanistic approach which helps <br /> the student clarify goals and values. <br /> c Provide a knowledge and understanding of our society so that <br /> the students may exercise the rights and responsibilities of Citi- <br /> zenship. <br /> d Develop programs that will help the student build on the heri- <br /> tage of the past. <br /> 6. Cape Cod Regional Technical High School will participate fully in <br /> Educational Reform requirements. <br /> a. -Maintain hours that meet the state mandate. <br /> b. Provide curriculum that satisfies these regulations within the <br /> time parameters of vocational/technical education together with <br /> an essential, comprehensive academic program to meet MCAS <br /> standards for 10th grade testing and any further assessments <br /> deemed necessary by the state. <br /> c. Promote active involvement through a School Council by sup- <br /> porting a School Development Plan which advises the princi- <br /> pal and improves the school. <br /> 7. Provide quality, skill development for teachers and students. <br /> a. Provide teacher professional development in technology/com- <br /> puter usage, curriculum writing, methodology, learning styles, <br /> motivational tactics, class/shop management techniques, and <br /> other skills to enhance the teaching and learning.process. <br /> b. Provide students with computer training and equipment that <br /> are both "state of the art" and allows them to keep their com- <br /> petitive edge in the job market. <br /> 3. <br />
