r' Article _ <br /> Mashpee Town Meeting TQWt'v OF HASHPEC <br /> May 1999 <br /> 'OWN CLERK <br /> 99 JAN 32 AM 8: <br /> _< Purpose: To ensure that the issuance of building permits for residential development occurs in an orderly and <br /> predictable fashion so that the Town of Mashpee can: 1) Guard against large variations in growth rates which <br /> adversely affect the town's environmental resources, economy and land values; 2) Have time to plan effectively <br /> by studying the effects of residential growth on the town's character,natural resources and natural environment. <br /> c <br /> §174-26 Growth Management: <br /> A. Development Phasing. <br /> Within any year, building permits may be issued for new dwellings on no more than 15% (fifteen <br /> percent) of the lots in any subdivision approved by the Mashpee Planning Board under the <br /> Massachusetts Subdivision Control Law(the most recent such plan applicable to the lot shall apply), <br /> or 15% (fifteen percent)but at least one (1) of the lots shown on a plan of land not requiring <br /> subdivision approval recorded after May 11, 1987, or 15% (fifteen percent) of the approved dwelling <br /> units in any other type of residential or mixed-use development under a special permit. In the case <br /> of fractional numbers greater than 1/2 (one-half), the number of permits issued may be rounded <br /> upward. <br /> B. Building Permit Limts. <br /> 1.
