r - <br /> Article_ <br /> Mashpee Town MeetingTOW1,-,, OF MASHPEE <br /> May <br /> 1999 TOWN CLERK <br /> 99 JAN 32 AM 8- 54 <br /> Purpose: To ensure that the issuance of building permits for residential development occurs <br /> in an orderly and predictable fashion so that the Town of Mashpee can: 1) Guard against <br /> large variations in growth rates which adversely affect the town's environmental resources, <br /> economy and land values; 2) Have time to plan effectively by studying the effects of <br /> residential growth on the town's character, natural resources and natural environment. <br /> § 174-26 Growth Management: <br /> A. Development Phasing. <br /> I <br /> Within any year, building permits may be issued for new dwellings on no more <br /> than 15% (fifteen percent) of the lots in any subdivision approved by the Mashpee <br /> Planning Board under the Massachusetts Subdivision Control Law(the most <br /> recent such plan applicable to the lot shall apply), or 15% (fifteen percent) but at <br /> least one (1) of the lots shown on a plan of land not requiring subdivision <br /> approval recorded after May 11, 1987, or 15% (fifteen percent) of the approved <br /> dwelling units in any other type of residential or mixed-use development under a <br /> special permit. In the case of fractional numbers greater than '/2 (one-half), the <br /> number of permits issued may be rounded upward. <br /> I <br /> B. Building Permit Limts. <br /> 1.
