r <br /> Article 29 <br /> d <br /> i <br /> To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to transfer that <br /> parcel of land shown on the 1999 Mashpee Assessors' Maps as Map 62, Blocks 244, <br /> containing 6.34 acres, more or less and located between Carleton Drive, Ashers Path <br /> and Route 28, to the Mashpee Housing Authority for the purpose of constructing <br /> affordable senior housing and associated uses under the"Local Initiative Program"or <br /> any other appropriate affordable housing program, with such transfer to be made { <br /> subject to a deed restriction, which may contain a reverter clause, permanently <br /> restricting the property to said uses, and also subject to a restriction requiring that all <br /> development on said parcel be connected to a denitrifying wastewater treatment <br /> facility approved by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection or to <br /> a municipal sewer system; and further, vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to <br /> petition the General Court for special legislation authorizing such transfer and <br /> restrictions if necessary, to make use of other agencies and instrumentalities of the <br /> Town and to enter into any agreements necessary to effect the transfer of such land <br /> in accordance with this Article, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted b the Board of Selectmen <br /> Y I <br /> Explanation: This article would authorize the selectmen-to transfer title to a parcel _. <br /> of Land at the corner of Route 28 and Ashers Path to the Mashpee Housing Authority <br /> for construction of an affordable senior housing development similar to the <br /> Authority's existing Homeyer Village on Jobs Fishing Road.
