Article 30 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to authorize and instruct the Board of Selectmen to file a <br /> Home Rule Petition, so called, with the General Court in substantially the following <br /> form: <br /> AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF MASHPEE TO HOLD A FALL ANNUAL TOWN <br /> MEETING <br /> Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court <br /> Assembly, and by the authority of the same, as follows: <br /> SECTION 1: Notwithstanding the provisions of Chapter 39, Section 9 of the General <br /> Laws, or any general or special law to the contrary, the Town of Mashpee is hereby i <br /> authorized to hold a Fall Annual Town Meeting. <br /> SECTION 2: This act shall take effect upon its passage, <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. j{ { <br /> Submitted by the Town Clerk {{ <br /> I <br /> Explanation: Chapter 39, Section 9, allows a town to hold an annual town meeting <br /> to be held between February and May unless provided by special law.
