Article 13 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to create the position of part-time Assistant Animal Control Officer <br /> (16 hours per week) under the Town's Personnel Administration Plan, Grade 8, Step 1, and <br /> within the Mashpee Police Department and further to raise and appropriate $11,859, with said <br /> funds to be distributed as follows: $11,016 to the Animal Control Salary/Wage Account and <br /> $843 to the Medicare Account, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Police Department <br /> Explanation: This 16-hour per week position will provide for an enhanced level of coverage to <br /> the residents of the Town of Mashpee. This position will enable the Police Department to <br /> provide services to the community seven days each week. This enhanced delivery of service <br /> will have an immediate and positive impact on quality of life issues, such as the reduction of <br /> cruelty to animals, better control of nuisance animals, removal of deceased animals, and <br /> enhanced response for injured pets and wildlife.
