Article 12 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to create the position of part-time clerk under the Personnel <br /> Administration Plan, Grade 4, Step 1, for the Mashpee Police Department and further to raise <br /> and appropriate $10,450, with said funds to be distributed as follows: $9,707 to the Police <br /> Salary/Wage Account and $743 to the Medicare Account, or take any other action relating <br /> thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Police Department <br /> Explanation: This 18-hour per week part-time clerk position will be assigned duties in the <br /> Mashpee Police Department Administration Division, Clerical Services & Central Records unit. <br /> Specifically, the part-time clerk position will be assigned primarily to administrative duties, <br /> completing accounting and financial systems support, and will provide backup support for the <br /> firearms licensing and records clerks, which are also both part-time positions. This position will , <br /> provide better administrative support, eliminate the need to pay for floating clerical coverage <br /> and will ensure an enhanced level of customer service. <br /> Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Motion to be made by Wayne Taylor.
