Article 11 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate, borrow or transfer from available funds <br /> $446,419 to provide for road improvement projects under Chapter 90 related funds, or take any <br /> other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Department of Public Works <br /> Explanation: This article authorizes the use of funds to be 100% reimbursed by the <br /> Commonwealth of Massachusetts. These revenues are the apportioned State gas tax back to <br /> the cities and towns. The level funding of 1998 is anticipated to be the total funds available to <br /> Mashpee in Fiscal Year 2003. <br /> Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Article 12 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds $5,000 to <br /> the Charter Commission Account, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: This article will provide funding for the Charter Commission in accordance with <br /> Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 43B § 8. <br /> Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Article 13 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to accept the layout of Lowell Road as a public way as shown on <br /> the plan entitled "Easement Taking and Layout Plan of Lowell Road Sheets 1 through 5 <br /> inclusive, dated January 22, 2002 and to authorize the Board of Selectmen to acquire by gift, <br /> purchase or eminent domain any land or easements necessary for the purpose of laying out <br /> said way, upon such terms and conditions as it shall determine appropriate for the purposes of <br /> a public way, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Department of Public Works <br /> Explanation: Although Lowell Road has been maintained as a public way, no record of its <br /> official acceptance as such is on record at the Barnstable County Registry of Deeds. In <br /> .addition, the configuration of the road at the intersection with Great Neck Road North will be <br /> modified in accordance with the plan approved by the Planning Board for the Regatta Drive <br /> subdivision. This article officially accepts Lowell Road as a public way as it currently exists, <br /> except at the intersection with Great Neck Road North, where acceptance as shown on the plan <br /> approved by the Planning Board is proposed. The developer of Regatta Drive is responsible for <br /> construction of the reconfigured intersection. <br /> 14 <br /> M <br />
