a <br /> § 5-63. Membership; Terms: The Board of Selectmen shall appoint the Affordable <br /> Housing Committee, consisting of nine (9) members. Members shall be <br /> reappointed annually. The members of the Affordable Housing Committee <br /> shall serve without pay. <br /> § 5-64. Organization; Meetings: The Committee shall elect annually a Chairman, <br /> Vice Chairman and Clerk. Said election shall take place at its first meeting <br /> after July 1 of each year, <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: This article would change the makeup of the Affordable Housing Committee in <br /> order to meet the quorum requirement for holding meetings. <br /> Article 17 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend section 7 C. of Chapter 172 of the Mashpee Code by <br /> substituting the following for the last sentence of said section: <br /> Any permit may be renewed for an additional year, or in the Commission's discretion, a longer <br /> period of time (not to exceed three years) provided that: ,. <br /> i <br /> 1. a written request for renewal is received at least 30 days prior to the expiration date of <br /> the original permit (issued under Chapter 172); <br /> I <br /> and that the Commission finds that: <br /> 2. delays in initiating or completing the originally permitted work were unavoidable <br /> (including, but not limited to, appeals or inability to obtain other, applicable permits); <br /> I <br /> 3. current information indicates that the provisions of the original permit remain adequate <br /> to protect the wetland values of Chapter 172. The Commission may, if it deems it <br /> necessary, require updated plans and/or other information to make this determination; <br /> 4. permitted, incomplete work meets the current provisions and regulations of Chapter 172 <br /> (as in effect at the time of the receipt of the written request for renewal); <br /> 5. incomplete work is not causing damage to the wetland values of Chapter 172; <br /> 6. work already completed is in compliance with the provisions of the original permit, <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Conservation Commission <br /> 18 <br />
