Article 9 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds <br /> $7,564 to the Leisure Services Part-time Salary Account, or take any other action <br /> relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: This article will provide funding to fill the position of Part-Time <br /> Administrative Clerk that has been unfilled due to the hiring freeze. <br /> Recommendation: Finance Committee does not recommend approval. <br /> Article 10 <br /> To see if the Town will fund the position of Fire Prevention Inspector for the Fire & <br /> Rescue Department to start July 1, 2004 and raise or appropriate $68,190 with said <br /> funds to be appropriated as follows: $47,000 to the Fire & Rescue Department <br /> Salary/Wage Account; $2,975 to the Fire & Rescue Expense Account; $696 to the <br /> Medicare Account; $12,483 to the Medical Insurance Account; $36 to the Group <br /> Insurance Account; and $5,000 for county retirement, <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Fire Chief <br /> Explanation: This action creates and funds the position of Fire Prevention Inspector for <br /> the Fire & Rescue Department. <br /> Recommendation: Finance Committee does not recommend approval. <br /> Article 11 <br /> To see if the Town will create the position of Fire Department House Clerk/Watchman, <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Fire Chief <br /> Explanation: This position will be an on-call responder position as to staff the Fire <br /> Department watch room when the station is staffed by out of town mutual aide <br /> responders. Funding for the position will come from the department's wage account. <br /> Article 12 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to hire and equip one additional fulltime Police Officer and <br /> that the Town vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds $17,538 <br /> with said funds to be appropriated as follows: $8,486 to the Police Patrolman Salaries <br /> Account, $5,800 to the Police Expense Account, $8 to the Group Insurance Account, <br /> $3,121 to the Employee Medical Insurance Account, and $123 to the Medicare Account, <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Police Chief <br />
