Constitution for special legislation to authorize a transfer in change and use of the <br /> easement area granted. <br /> Article 23 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to grant NSTAR Electric <br /> an easement to install and maintain an underground electric system on town owned <br /> property along, upon, under, across and over that parcel of land situated in Town of <br /> Mashpee, Barnstable County, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, described as follows: <br /> Route 151, Book 587, Page 525, recorded at the Barnstable County Registry of Deeds, <br /> for the new Senior Center, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: This article would grant NSTAR an easement to install power to provide <br /> service to the new Senior Center. <br /> Article 24 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to accept the layout of Lowell Road as a public way as <br /> shown on the plan entitled "Easement Taking and Layout Plan of Lowell Road", Sheets 1 <br /> through 5 inclusive, dated January 22, 2002 and to authorize the Board of Selectmen to <br /> acquire by gift, purchase or eminent domain any land or easements necessary for the <br /> purpose of laying out said way, upon such terms and conditions as it shall determine <br /> appropriate for the purposes of a public way, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Department of Public Works <br /> Explanation: Although Lowell Road has been maintained as a public way, no record of <br /> its official acceptance as such is on record at the Barnstable County Registry of Deeds. <br /> In addition, the configuration of the road at the intersection with Great Neck Road North <br /> will be modified in accordance with the plan approved by the Planning Board for the <br /> Regatta Drive subdivision. This article officially accepts Lowell Road as a public way as <br /> it currently exists, except at the intersection with Great Neck Road North, where <br /> acceptance as shown on the plan approved by the Planning Board is proposed. The <br /> developer of Regatta Drive is responsible for construction of the reconfigured <br /> intersection. <br /> Article 25 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to adopt a bylaw regarding signage for private driveways as <br /> follows: <br /> Section 150-14. Any private driveway located within the Town of Mashpee, which is <br /> neither a public nor private way, as defined in the General Laws or Bylaw of the Town, <br /> which is identified by name by a sign or placard, shall clearly indicate on any such sign <br /> or placard the words"Private Driveway". Such designation shall be incorporated into or <br /> added to any new or existing sign or placard by letters of no less than one inch in <br />
