Mashpee Board of Appeals Minutes - August 23, 1989 Page 5. <br />Robert Sherman, Conservation Agent, said the Conservation Commission was <br />opposed per comments presented on previous hearing. <br />Mr. Halpern moved to continue the hearing to September 27, 1989 subject <br />• to the applicant granting a 100 -day extension to the Board. <br />Ms. Hawver seconded. All agreed. <br />Eliot Levy - (Owner of record: Robert W. Levy TR) - Requests a <br />Special Permit under Section 5.1 of the Zoning By-laws for permission <br />to extend non -conforming use with the addition of a single garage on <br />property located at 120 Summersea Road (Map 105, Block 52) Mashpee, MA. <br />Members sitting: Cheryl Hawver, Michael Makunas, William Hanrahan <br />Jeff Gainsborg,builder, represented the applicant. He presented plans <br />to the Board for the construction of a garage. <br />Mr. Hanrahan and Ms. Hawver informed Mr. Gainsborg that the plans were <br />incomplete since they did not include dimensions on set backs and lot <br />coverage. They explained that a registered engineer would have to revise <br />the plans. A letter was presented from an abutter in favor of the plan and <br />comments were received from an unidentified abutter asking if bedrooms were planned. <br />Mr. Makunas moved to take the petition under advisement. Ms. Hawver <br />seconded. All agreed. <br />. Alan Party Tent Inc. - (Owner of record: South Cape Industrial Park) <br />Request a Special Permit under Section 6.3.G.9 of the Land Use Regulations <br />to allow for office and storage use and the use of a washing machine in an <br />I-1 zoning district on property located at 33 Industrial Drive (Map 88, Lot 33) <br />Mashpee, MA. <br />Cheryl Hawver, Michael Makunas and William Hanrahan <br />Alan Mendleson represented his application. He explained that he <br />wished the permit to operate a party tent business. He is also requesting <br />use of washing machine for laundering of linens. He explained that the <br />Board of Health had denied use of a washing machine. <br />Ms. Hawver read a memo from the Board of Health which requested that <br />the same conditions for the special permit issued to George Toomey for <br />the construction of the building be included in this petition. <br />Elias McQuaid, health agent, stated that Alan Party Tent had been <br />informed that if they wished to install a commercial washing machine that <br />would be construed as industrial waste and they would require D.E.Q.E. <br />approval. <br />Ms. Hawver read a letter from the Mashpee Water District. She also <br />read a letter from South Cape Industrial Park which said that Alan had <br />. been using trailers for storage which were not authorized. They asked that <br />the Board restrict the parking of the trailers. <br />0 <br />
