• <br />MASHPEE BOARD OF APPEALS <br />Minutes <br />October 11, 1989 <br />The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, <br />October 11, 1989 at the Mashpee Town Hall. Board members present and <br />acting throughout were Cheryl A. Hawver, Michael A. Makunas, Richard E. <br />Halpern, Edward M. Govoni and John J. Friel. Member William J. Hanrahan <br />was present for the first hearing. Douglas S. Boyd, Building Inspector, <br />was in attendance. <br />Ms, Hawver called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. She explained <br />that the application of Terrance S. Trottier which was under advisement <br />would be heard first. <br />Terrance S. Trottier - Requests a Special Permit under Section 6.3.F. <br />of the Land Use Regulations to allow for used car sales in a C-2 zoning <br />district on property located at 446 Main St. (Map 27, Block 28A) Mashpee, <br />Members sitting: C. Hawver, M. Makunas, W. Hanrahan <br />Mr. Hanrahan read from the minutes of the Town Meeting of May 4, 1987 <br />which stated that it was inadvertant that the property was rezoned to <br />residential since other pieces of land in the area were left with the <br />C-2 zoning. The Planning Board article was to correct the zoning from <br />R -3M to C-2. Planning Board stated that it was an equitable change <br />in that the use of the property will not be physically expanded. <br />• Mr. Hanrahan questioned if the addition of used car sales would <br />constitute an expansion of use. He stated that he had no problem with <br />used car sales as long as it is limited to four cars up front for sale. <br />Mr. Hanrahan moved to grant the Special Permit as requested. <br />Mr. Makunas questioned the parking requirements of the original <br />permit. <br />Mr. Hanrahan withdrew his motion. <br />Ms. Hawver read the original restriction of parking for six cars. <br />There was discussion of the size of the lot and how many vehicles it <br />could accomodate. <br />Mr. Makunas suggested limiting it to the original six vehicles <br />plus the four for a total of ten. <br />F <br />MA. <br />Mr. Hanrahan mgved to grant the Special Permit as requested providing <br />for the sale of/tugurovehicles on site with the maximum of vehicles on <br />site to be accomodated at 10. Mr. Makunas seconded. All agreed. <br />
