• MASHPEE BOARD OF APPEALS Minutes October 11, 1989 The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 1989 at the Mashpee Town Hall. Board members present and acting throughout were Cheryl A. Hawver, Michael A. Makunas, Richard E. Halpern, Edward M. Govoni and John J. Friel. Member William J. Hanrahan was present for the first hearing. Douglas S. Boyd, Building Inspector, was in attendance. Ms, Hawver called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. She explained that the application of Terrance S. Trottier which was under advisement would be heard first. Terrance S. Trottier - Requests a Special Permit under Section 6.3.F. of the Land Use Regulations to allow for used car sales in a C-2 zoning district on property located at 446 Main St. (Map 27, Block 28A) Mashpee, Members sitting: C. Hawver, M. Makunas, W. Hanrahan Mr. Hanrahan read from the minutes of the Town Meeting of May 4, 1987 which stated that it was inadvertant that the property was rezoned to residential since other pieces of land in the area were left with the C-2 zoning. The Planning Board article was to correct the zoning from R -3M to C-2. Planning Board stated that it was an equitable change in that the use of the property will not be physically expanded. • Mr. Hanrahan questioned if the addition of used car sales would constitute an expansion of use. He stated that he had no problem with used car sales as long as it is limited to four cars up front for sale. Mr. Hanrahan moved to grant the Special Permit as requested. Mr. Makunas questioned the parking requirements of the original permit. Mr. Hanrahan withdrew his motion. Ms. Hawver read the original restriction of parking for six cars. There was discussion of the size of the lot and how many vehicles it could accomodate. Mr. Makunas suggested limiting it to the original six vehicles plus the four for a total of ten. F MA. Mr. Hanrahan mgved to grant the Special Permit as requested providing for the sale of/tugurovehicles on site with the maximum of vehicles on site to be accomodated at 10. Mr. Makunas seconded. All agreed.
