Board of Appeals Minutes - October 11, 1989 Page 2. <br />Paul E. and Ann T. Keon - Request a Special Permit under Section 6.3.I.9 <br />• of the Land Use Regulations for permission to build a fixed pier in an R-3 <br />zoning district on property located at 136 Captain's Row (Map 96, Block 22) <br />Mashpee, MA. <br />Members sitting: C. Hawver, M. Makunas, R. Halpern <br />George Thorng of Arrow Engineering represented the applicant. He <br />presented plans showing an existing structure which will be replaced. <br />He said he had met with Shellfish Warden today and he had no objections. <br />The end is fixed with an angled walkway. <br />Ms. Hawver asked for comments from Paul Somerville, Shellfish <br />Constable. Mr. Somerville read comments and suggested that all <br />boating activity be confined to the three outer sections of the float. <br />He stated that securing vessels along the pier section would result <br />in disruption and possible destruction of the shellfish resources. <br />Mr. Halpern questioned if rail was to be on both sides and Mr. Thorng <br />stated that this was undecided. Mr. Makunas questioned scale of drawings. <br />Mr. Govoni questioned how existing dock would be removed and Mr. Thorn <br />said it would be removed by hand. <br />Mr. Makunas moved to grant the Special Permit as requested with <br />the condition that boat dockage win be limited to the 6' x 30' t -section <br />of the structure. Mr. Halpern seconded. All agreed. <br />• James R.'and Marilyn A. Walker - Request a Special Permit under <br />Section 6.3.I.9 of the Land Use Regulations for permission to build a <br />fixed pier in an R-3 zoning district on property located at 184 Captain's <br />Row (Map 96, Block 32) Mashpee, MA. <br />Members sitting:. C. Hawver, M. Makunas, E. Govoni <br />Mr. George Thorng of Arrow Engineering represented the applicant. <br />He explained that this application was similar to the previous hearing <br />and located in the same area. He said he had visited the site with <br />Paul Somerville, Shellfish Constable. Mr. Somerville requested <br />the same conditions on boat dockage as in the Keon hearing <br />Ms. Hawver asked the Harbormaster, Chester Koblinsky, if he had <br />any comments and he replied that he had none. <br />Mr. Makunas moved to grant the Special Permit with the condition <br />that dockage of boats be allowed only on the 6' x 30' T -section of the <br />float. Mr. Govoni seconded. All agreed. <br />South Cape Beach Association - (Owner of record: S.C.C.A. Inc.) - <br />Requests a Special Permit under Section 6.3.I.9 of the Land Use <br />Regulations for permission to build a fixed pier, ramp and floating <br />docks in an R-3 zoning district on property located at 9 Metacomet <br />Road (Map 125, Block 97) Mashpee, MA. <br />• Members sitting: C.
