BOARD OF APPEALS Minutes - February 28, 1990 3. <br />• Fields Point Limited Partnership —Requests a Variance under Section <br />174-31 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to vary the maximum building <br />hight of a proposed medical office building in a C-1 zoning district <br />on property located at 51 Nathan Ellis Highway (Route 151) (Map 74, <br />Block 35) Mashpee, MA. <br />Members sitting: C. Hawver, W. Hanrahan, M. Makunas <br />Douglas Storrs of Fields Point represented the Application. He <br />explained that the Design Review Committee and the Fire Department had <br />concerns with the original design of the medical office building. He <br />said that the design had been changed to allow access to three sides <br />of the building at ground level and that the roof design had been <br />changed to allow access to the roof. <br />Ms. Hawver read a letter from the Fire Department approving the <br />changes. <br />Mr. Makunas moved to grant the Variance in building height allowing <br />for a 39' height. Mr. Hanrahan seconded. All agreed. <br />Fields Point Limited Partnership - Requests a Modification of Special <br />Permit 86-04-024 for the addition of two buildings within Mashpee Commons <br />in a C-1 zoning district on property located at 38 Nathan Ellis Highway <br />(Map 74, Block 20) Mashpee, MA. <br />• Members sitting: C. Hawver, W. Hanrahan, M. Makunas <br />Douglas Storrs of Fields Point represented the Application. He <br />explained that the petition was not a modification of the 1986 Special <br />Permit but was pursuant to condition 1. of the Permit which required <br />that no building permits may be issued without the approval of the <br />Design Review Committee and the Board of Appeals. <br />Mr. Storrs explained that there was a need in Mashpee Commons for <br />smaller spaces to rent for seasonal use. He reviewed plans for Building <br />7A which would be located near Bobby Byrnes Pub and Building 12A which <br />would be a 12' x 40' liner building on the parking lot of Market St. <br />Board members questioned the design of the liner building and <br />suggested Mr. Storrs review it with the Design Review Committee. <br />Mr. Makunas stated that the seasonal use of the liner building introduced <br />a new concept and should be thoroughly reviewed. He suggested that <br />Mr. Storrs withdraw the request for Building 12A. Mr. Storrs agreed. <br />Mr. Makunas moved to accept the withdrawal of the request for <br />Building 12A. Mr. Hanrahan seconded. All agreed. <br />Mr. Makunas moved to grant the request for the construction of <br />Building 7A pursuant to SP 86-04-024. Mr. Hanrahan seconded. All agreed. <br />• <br />
