• TOWN OF MASHPEE <br />BOARD OF APPEALS <br />Box 1108 <br />Mashpee, MA 02649 <br />Minutes <br />July 11, 1990 <br />The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting on Wednesday, <br />July 11, 1990 at the Mashpee Town Hall. Board members present and <br />acting throughout were: Cheryl A. Hawver and John J. Friel. <br />William J. Hanrahan was present and acting for three hearings. <br />Michael A. Makunas and Building Inspector Douglas S. Boyd arrived <br />at 8:05 p.m. Chairman Hawver called the meeting to order at 7:51 <br />p.m. <br />Reorganization of the Board of Appeals: Mr. Hanrahan moved <br />to nominate the following officers of the Board: Chairman, Cheryl <br />A. Hawver; Vice -Chairman, Michael A. Makunas; and Clerk, William <br />J. Hanrahan. Mr. Friel seconded. All agreed. <br />Pamela Peters - (Owner of r•ecor•d: Alexander• and Ecaterini <br />Mitrokostas) - Requests a Special Permit under Section 174-25.D.1 <br />of the Zoning By-laws for permission to operate a real estate <br />• office in a C-2 zoning district on property located at 401 Nathan <br />Highway and 34 Sassacus Road (Map 72, Blocks 57 and 58) Mashpee, <br />Ma. <br />Members sitting: C. Hawver, W. Hanrahan, J. Friel <br />Pamela Peters represented the application. She explained <br />that she was opening a real estate office with two employees. The <br />planned square footage of rental space is 1,300 sf. Joan Muse, Ms. <br />Peters' partner•, informed the Board that there is a possibility <br />they may be moving their space to accomodate another tenant but <br />square footage would still be in excess of 1,000 sf. <br />Mr. Hanrahan stated that he had no objection to changing the <br />space designation administratively and applicant would not require <br />another• hearing. <br />Ms. Hawver questioned the parking facilities and Constantinos <br />Mitrokostas, the owner of the shopping center explained that there <br />are 91 parking spaces which exceed the by-law requirements. He <br />said that the inspection of the building is scheduled for• this <br />Friday and landscaping will be installed this week. <br />Elias McQuaid, Health Agent, submitted a memo indicating that <br />the owners have complied with every request of the Board of Health <br />and they have no problem with occupancies of the retail section as <br />
