BOARD OF APPEALS <br />• MINUTES <br />March 22, 1989 <br />At 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 1989 the Mashpee Board of <br />Appeals held a meeting at the Mashpee Town Hall. Board members present <br />and acting throughout were: William J. Hanrahan, Cheryl A. Hawver, <br />Michael A. Makunas, Richard E. Halpern and Edward M. Govoni. <br />Mr. Douglas Boyd, Building Inspector, was in attendance. <br />John Morgan - (Owners of record: William Van Herwade and John L. <br />Morgan) - Requests a Special Permit under Section 6.3.I.9 of the Land Use <br />Requirements for permission to construct a stairway and fixed pier in an R-5 <br />zoning district on property located at 111 River Road (Map 89, Lot 3) Mashpee, <br />Ma. <br />Members sitting: W. Hanrahan, C. Hawver, M. Makunas <br />Mr. Hanrahan explained that the petition had been taken under <br />advisement at the meeting of January 11, 1989 when Mr. Morgan agreed to <br />submit new plans reducing the size of the pier. <br />George Thorng of Arrow Engineering presented the revised plans for <br />• a 6' x 12' float. He commented that sonar tubes were being replaced by <br />pressure treated wood and 4" x 4" posts on the bank. The fixed pier <br />has been replaced by the float. <br />The Conservation Commission and the Mashpee River Woodlands <br />Committee had approved the new plans. <br />Mr. Makunas moved to grant the Special Permit per the revised plans. <br />Ms. Hawver seconded. All agreed. <br />Kevin Andrade - Mr. Hanrahan read a letter from Douglas Boyd, <br />Building Inspector, stating that the landscaping had been completed <br />at Summerfield Park and asking for a release of the landscaping bond. <br />Mr. Makunas moved to release the bond. Ms. Hawver seconded. All agreed. <br />Uldis Ozolins - (Owner of Record: Thomas F. and Gertrude M. Boyd) <br />Requests a Special Permit under Section 5.1 of the Zoning By-laws for <br />permission to expand a non -conforming structure in an R-3 zoning district <br />on property located at 23 Jeep Place (Map 118, Lot 111) Mashpee, MA. <br />Members sitting: C. Hawver, M. Makunas, and R. Halpern <br />The Petition had been taken under advisement at the meeting of <br />March 8, 1989. Ms. Hawver moved to grant the Special Permit, <br />Mr. Halpern seconded. All agreed. <br />• <br />
