He reviewed the <br />discussion at the hearing of 4/26/89 when the Board had questioned the <br />lot coverage of the house. He said the owner had modified the design, <br />eliminated decking and reduced the lot coverage to 20.6%. The dwelling <br />has been moved to 21' from road at Conservation Commission request. <br />Ms. Hawver moved to grant the Variance permitting lot coverage of <br />20.6% and a front yard setback of 21'. Mr. Halpern seconded. All agreed. <br />Michael Scolavino - (Owner of record: Herbert A. and Jean T. Swanson) <br />Requests a Special Permit under Section 6.3.I.9 of the Land Use Regulations <br />for permission to construct a dock in an R-3 Zoning District on property <br />located at 79 Seconsett Island Road (Map 119, Blocks 101 and 102) <br />Mashpee, MA. <br />Members sitting: W. Hanrahan, C. Hawver, M. Makunas <br />Christopher Costa represented the Petition. He presented plans for <br />the repair of an existing bulkhead and dock and explained that new pilings <br />would be installed with no change in size. He said he expected minimal <br />damage to shellfish but would possibly put in new quohogs in the dock <br />area. <br />Mr. Makunas asked if owner had original dock permits and Mr. Costa <br />replied that he was unable to locate them. 'The dock was built 30 - 40 <br />years ago before permits were issued. <br />Paul Somerville, Shellfish Constable, stated that the Shellfish <br />Commission does not object to repairs to pre-existing docks. <br />Conservation Commission had been contacted and had no comments. <br />Mr. Makunas moved to grant as requested. Ms. Hawver seconded. All agreed. <br />Lloyd Gainsboro - (Advisement from April 12, 1989 meeting) <br />Members sitting: C. Hawver, M. Makunas, E. Govoni <br />The Board reviewed a memo from Douglas Cameron of Braman Engineering <br />dated 4/20/89 and revised plans for a stairway, pier, gangway and float <br />dated 4/19/89. The new plans reduced the size of the float to 6' x 20'. <br />Paul Somerville, Shellfish Constable, stated that the reduction in <br />size was a compromise to protect the eelgrass beds and he had no objections. <br />He also stated that the area in question was not in the A.C.E.C. area. <br />Mr. Makunas moved to grant the Special Permit based on Braman Plan <br />E-386 revised 4/19/89. Mr. Govoni seconded. All agreed. <br />
