TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> Board of Appeals <br /> Minutes <br /> Wednesday, September 10, 1997 <br /> The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting on Wednesday, September 10, 1997 at <br /> 7:30 P.M. in the Mashpee Town Hall. Board members present were: Edward M. Govoni, <br /> Chairman and Associate Members Robert G. Nelson, Richard T. Guerrera, Michael A. <br /> Makunas and James M. Dorgan. Vice-Chairman James E. Regan III and Clerk Cheryl A. <br /> Hawver were absent. Building Inspector William F. Hauck was in attendance. <br /> Paul G. Martick- requests a Variance from Section 174-32 of the Zoning By-laws to <br /> allow the construction of a single family dwelling on an unpaved road on property located <br /> in an R-3 zoning district at 49 Amy Brown Road (Map 109, Block 2)Mashpee, MA. <br /> Members sitting: E. Govoni, M. Makunas, R. Nelson <br /> Mr. Mar-tick represented his application and presented plans for the construction of a <br /> home on Amy Brown Road. He said that the Planning Board has approved a subdivision <br /> at the end of the road. <br /> Mr. Govoni explained that the Planning Board had conditions for improving the road <br /> before the vacant lots can be developed. He explained that the houses which have been <br /> constructed were expansions of non-conforming structures already on the lots. He said <br /> that the Building Department will not issue permits until the road is improved and read a <br /> letter from the Fire Department requesting that no permits be issued. <br /> Mr. Martick stated that some work was now being done on the road. Mr.Govoni said the <br /> application could be withdrawn without prejudice and resubmitted when the road was <br /> improved. Mr. Hauck suggested the application be continued and Mr. Govoni said this <br /> could be done if Mr. Martick granted an extension of 30 days. Mr. Martick submitted a <br /> written request for a 30-day extension in the hearing calendar. <br /> Mr. Makunas moved to grant the extension of 30 days in the hearing calendar and <br /> continue the hearing to September 24. Mr. Nelson seconded. All agreed. <br /> Robert J. and Patricia A Tuohy- request a Variance from Section 174-31 of the Zoning <br /> By-laws for permission to vary the front setback requirements to allow for the <br /> construction of a porch 26.58 feet from the street on property located in an R-3 zoning <br /> district at 53 Dry Hollow Lane (Map 83, Block 99)Mashpee, MA. <br /> Members sitting: E. Govoni, M. Makunas, J. Dorgan <br />
