Article 2.9 Conservation Commission <br /> Section 2.9. 1 Membership . A Conservation Commission <br /> shall be appointed by the Selectmen under• <br /> the provisions of General Laws, Chapter 40 , <br /> Section 8C, and all amendments thereof ; <br /> and shall consist of not less than seven <br /> members to serve for a term of three <br /> .years. <br /> Section 2.9.2 Land Acquired by the Town Na land j <br /> acquired by the Town through tax title <br /> proceedings shall be sold or otherwise <br /> disposed of until Vt shall have first been ' <br /> determined by a vote at a Town Meeting <br /> whether or not said land shall be held i <br /> by the Town as Conservation Land j <br /> for all purposes included in Section 8C <br /> of Chapter 40 of the General Law as it now <br /> reads or may hereafter be amended; or <br /> shall be held by the Town for some other <br /> municipal purpose . <br /> Section 2.9.3 Posting of Bond. The Consesr•vation Commission may <br /> require the posting of a bond, with surety, running <br /> to the municipality, and sufficient as to form and <br /> surety in the opinion of the Commission's Counsel , <br /> to secure faithful and satisfactory per•for•mance of <br /> work required by any final "Order of Conditions, " in <br /> such sum and upon such conditions as the Commission <br /> may require . Other evidence of financial <br /> responsibility which is satisfactory to the <br /> Commission may be accepted in lieu of bonding. <br /> Notwithstanding the above , the amount of such gond <br /> shall not exceed the estimated cost of the work <br /> required or the restoration of affected lands and <br /> property if the work is not perfomed as requ.j,red, <br /> whichever is the greater .
