i I i I Article 2. 10 Personnel Board Section 2. 10 . 1 There shall be a Personnel Board under the provisions of ,the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 41 , Section 1080 consisting of the Board of Selectmen and/or such other registered voters as the Board of Selectmen may from time to time designate . (Amended at Annual Town Meeting May 3, 1982 and approved by Attorney General September 7, 1982) . Section 2. 10 .2 Duties. The Personnel Board shall have the additional -duties and functions of a Personnel Review Board, pursuant to General Laws, Chapter 40 , Section 21B, to adjust grievances of Town employees other than those appointed by the School Committee . Section 2. 10 .3 Personnel Administration Plan . A Personnel classification and j administration plan shall be established under which the Personnel Board shall promulgate , and may from time to time amend, rules and regulations, after notice and hearing thereon , subject to the approval of the Board of Selectmen , and not contrary to any law: a. To establish and administer a classification of the positions of all Town Employees, other than those filled by popular election , and those under the direction and control of the school committee , into groups and classes doing sub- stantially similar work or having substantially similar responsibilities, and establish maximum and minimum salaries for such employees and for periodic step increases based on length of service . b. To establish and administer personnel policy dealing with working hours, overtime , vacations, leave for sickness, military service , jury duty, bereavement , leave of absence , tenure, group insurances and any other matter properly includable as personnel policy which shall be applicable to those employees subject to the employee I I I �i -20-
