Article 33: li To see if the Town will vote to amend the Town of Mashpee Code by striking Chapter I 40, Article 1, Section 40-1 (C.) and (D.) and inserting in place thereto the following language: "C. Articles for the Spring Annual Town Meeting must be submitted by the second 'i Monday in February each year. Articles for the Fall Annual Town Meeting must be submitted by the second Monday in July each year. i D. The Selectmen may insert in said warrant, any article or articles received by them as of said Monday in February and said Monday in July. All articles will include an explanation prepared by the party submitting the article. Before calling a special town meeting, the Selectmen will insert in a local newspaper a notice specifying the last day upon which articles to be inserted in the warrant for such meeting will be presented to the Selectmen or the Town Clerk.", or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Finance Committee and Board of Selectmen Motion: Article 33 be voted as printed in the warrant, with the exception of the phrase, "or take any other action relating thereto'. Motion carries 8:56 p.m. Article 34. To see if the Town will vote to amend Mashpee Code, Section 40-5, "Warrant Articles", by deleting Section "C" in its entirety and inserting in place thereto the following language: "C) Any article which requests a sum of money shall state in thein the amount being requested, unless it is determined by the Board of Selectmen that an amount is not available at the time of executing the warrant for the Town Meeting, and an estimate of i the amount is included in an explanation printed in the warrant.", or take any other action relating thereto. 'j Submitted by the Board of Selectmen Motion to amend to read as follows: Any article which requests a sum of money shall state in the article the amount being requested. Articles for transfer to Stabilization Account or for offsetting fiscal year taxes may omit an amount , but must include an estimate of the amount in an explanation printed in the warrant.
